Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Newsletter

Board regulations, specifically at LAC 46:LIII.111, indicates the official journal of the Board is the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Newsletter. The newsletter may be used in administrative hearings as proof of notification to pharmacists, interns, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy technician candidates, and holders of pharmacy permits. We encourage all subscribers to the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations to retain their newsletters in the section of the binder provided for that purpose.
Since 1988, the Board has partnered with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) Foundation to publish the newsletter on a quarterly basis, with issues dated on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 of every year. The newsletters are mailed directly to the holders of all active credentials, using the mailing address of record.
For the typical four-page issue, the NABP Foundation is responsible for selecting the topics and writing the content of the two middle pages, and the Board is responsible for selecting the topics and writing the content of the two outer pages. When necessary, the Board may expand beyond those two pages.
